Project Portfolio

International Finance Corporation/The World Bank Group
Washington, DC

In 1994, The Rosenberg Group began working with the International Finance Corporation, part of The World Bank Group, during the construction phase of its million-square-foot headquarters building on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., to help determine art selections and placement. We worked in collaboration with renowned architects Michael Graves & Associates and Skidmore Owings & Merrill to help integrate art with the architecture.

Following that initial three-year-phase, we have been retained on a long-term basis to provide art advisory services, including continuing to build the collection, management of the existing collection, production of two catalogs, and coordination of exhibitions and other events.

The focus of the collection has remained consistent: a world-class contemporary art collection comprised of works by emerging artists from the IFC's 175 member countries. True to our mission, the collection includes artworks that reflect the culture, ethnicity, and social concerns of the more than 100 countries from which they originate.
